Tennis Kenya to host prestigious Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III

Twelve nations will be participating in the Cup

Tennis Kenya has won the bid to host the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Africa Group III event.

The tournament, featuring twelve nations including Botswana, Burundi, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Seychelles, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, will take place at the Nairobi Club, Upper Hill during the week commencing 12th June 2023.

The ITF/Billie Jean King Cup Committee appointed Tennis Kenya to host the event after a competitive bidding process.

The committee expressed confidence that Tennis Kenya's team would stage an excellent event and provide players and visitors with a world-class experience.

Tennis Kenya is thrilled to host the Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III event.

Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge is one of the most prestigious international tennis tournaments and Africa Group III event will feature some of the best women's tennis teams in Africa.

Tennis Kenya has appointed a committee led by Wanjiru Mbugua-Karani as the Tournament Director.

The committee members include Rose Wanjala, Philip Ilako, Martha Tirop, June Namiranda, Nancy Nduku, Paurvi Rawal, Nazma, Rosemary Owino and Francis Rogoi
